Ingredients
- Besan - 1 bowl
- Oats flour - 1 bowl
- Onion, finely chopped- 1
- Tomato, finely chopped-1
- Coriander leaves, finely chopped- 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Turmeric - 1 tsp
- Ginger paste - ½ tbsp
- Garlic -½ tbsp
- Chilli flakes- ½ tsp
- Green chilies- as per taste
- Salt- as per taste
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, add one bowl of oats flour and add besan (gram flour).
- Add cumin seeds, chili flakes, turmeric powder, onion, tomato, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, chopped green chilies, and salt as per taste.
- With a wired whisk begin to mix everything.
- Pour about ½ cup water.
- Add 1 to 3 tbsp more water if the batter looks thick. Depending on the quality and texture of besan and oats, add water accordingly.
- Whisk to a smooth-flowing consistency in the batter without any lumps. Break lumps if any while mixing batter.
- Heat a stainless steel pan on medium heat. Add a small amount of ghee and then spread the cheela batter.
- Use ghee on the edges and cook till cooked on both sides
- Serve it along with coconut chutney/ Mint chutney.
